The West has always been about freedom and adventure. You feel all of that and more in Buffalo Bill's Cody/Yellowstone Country. More than a hundred years ago, Buffalo Bill Cody established the town known today as Cody, Wyoming. Cody, Powell and Meeteetse, Wyoming allow visitors to see jaw-dropping scenery, experience new adventures and tap into a Western freewheeling spirit that can only be found here.

Cody is the Eastern Gateway to Yellowstone National Park, home to buffalo, moose and bear and powerful geysers. A visit to Yellowstone National Park is easy to access from Cody. Check out the majestic Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River, the predictable thrill of Old Faithful, and the Lamar Valley, where you'll see the largest concentration of roaming wildlife in the lower 48 states. In Cody, you can go for a hike or horseback ride in the Absaroka Mountains and enjoy the nightly rodeo during the summer.

Jump back in time in Trail Town and see Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid's Hole-in-the-Wall cabin. Go shopping for a new pair of cowboy boots, Western art or the perfect hat. Or, you can go fishing on the Shoshone, the Greybull or Wood River or the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River. Take on the cliffs of North Absaroka Range for a little rock or ice climbing. Float the Shoshone River canyon or kayak the tail waters of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir. We say it's the wildest way into Yellowstone. And we have just one person to thank for that: Buffalo Bill.
